I will never understand doods

This entire weekend Blayn has been sending me these weird text messages. Yeah, I'm friends with him, but he has a girlfriend. Texting me sadfaces, because I saw him at the con and only said hi to him instead of giving him a hug, is ridiculous, especially because his girlfriend was standing right there with him.

I'm very respectful towards people when they are dating someone, so as not to seem too flirtatious or touchy-feely, because most couples aren't okay with their significant other having friendships like that. I'm completely understanding of that, but then Blayn keeps texting me this stuff about how he was so disappointed that at the rave I didn't seek him out, how I owe him a hug the next time I see him, how he "knows" I enjoy hugging him. He was just being REALLY weird.

Naturally, I called him out on it. He immediately felt bad and was worried that I was getting the wrong idea. I spent 10 minutes texting him that it's fine and that I'm not upset, so he shouldn't be, which caused this to happen...

Blayn: "but you were thinking that.."
Me: "and I thought wrong so it's no big deal - you really have no reason to feel bad, because you weren't flirting with me."

no response from him since 9:42pm.

METROCON :D

Entirely too much happened so I'm going to do my infamous bullets list to categorize the important things!

- awkward phone call with strange girl I didn't know, because Tristan didn't get to the hotel until 20 minutes after I did. Thankfully, strange girl ended up being super nice yet incredibly troubled. Seriously.
- cosplaying takes forever which makes going to panels almost impossible, thus causing you to sit around waiting for your friends to finish their cosplay.
- be a good sport about everything, otherwise you'll have a horrible time. Trust me!
- sleep is something to be cherished, so when you get it, you better take advantage of it. I took so many naps on Saturday because I thought I was going to die otherwise.
- seeing Doctors walking around with Solid Snake as well as Pokemon trainers.. there's nothing quite like it.
- didn't get to see Crispin Freeman but even if I did, I think I would be too embarassed/insecure to even ask him for an autograph, let alone stand in front of him. I would have acted like a disgusting 10 fangirl.. you know the ones I'm talking about.
- Jen from Parle Productions hugged me :D For those who don't know, that is a cosplay group in England who came to Metrocon to speak at the panels. She was really friendly, as well as the rest of the group, but this weekend made me appreciate them all the more. Their fans kept squee-ing and aw-ing during the damn panel, which was annoying, but they never seemed annoyed. They must be saints!
- being tall is not always a good thing, but when in the middle of the dance floor during a rave where a gargantuan beach ball is bouncing around, it will become your best asset.
- getting CLAWED in the face because of said beach ball? NOT SO MUCH. Asshole didn't even apologize. I should have "accidentally" punched him in the face.
- Even when my friends wore 5 inch heels, I was still taller than them, no matter how much Tristan says otherwise.
- The hotel room that we were at was haunted. Literally. For some reason, glass would appear out of nowhere in the floor and when we reported it to the hotel, they assumed we tracked the glass into the room. Yeah, because walking in a hotel that is fully carpeted all the way up to the 4th floor, all the way in the back so it's like The Shining, makes the glass fall off IN OUR ROOM rather than anywhere else.
- My new fangled GPS system is wonky when I need it the most. I drove around downtown Tampa aimlessly as she was trying to find a satellite signal. Go figure, because my dad bought it for me as an early birthday present, so I wouldn't get lost..
- I got pulled over for going 84 on 75 and I got off with a warning. LIKE A BOSS. Nothing happens to my license or my insurance either, because I turned on my charm and made that black state trooper love me and empathize with my situation. I mean, what middle aged guy would REALLY be upset at a teenage girl trying to get home to see her dad on Father's Day, when she loves Spongebob & when she's coming home early to surprise him? That's like every father's dream come true!

Well, today was slightly eventful.. I think. Honestly, I'm so confused about today and how to feel, but that's just the back story to the grand scheme of this post.

Blayn made my day. I ended up going home feeling depressed and not quite myself, but he cheered me up. Then again, it was probably a cross between Blayn's texts, my mom's excellent cooking, my puppy's adorableness, and just venting to both Blayn and to the internet my issues.

Honestly, I feel like a burden has been taken off of my shoulders, because finally a true 3rd party knows a smidge of the Truth (yes, it has to be capitalized).

And as selfish and conceited as it may sound, I do enjoy hearing compliments from people and Blayn as a person is just so genuine that I have to believe it when he says them =]

By today, I mean June 12, 2011

So, I watched The Producers & Repo! The Genetic Opera today :D

The Producers was amazing. I don't think I've ever laughed that much during a musical or even a movie that featured swastikas and Nazis. There was that one time at one of Ashley's Rock Band parties where we watched The Sound of Music by Verot Theatre Kids, but that was only because the Trobiano twins were Nazi soldiers and for some reason it was super hilarious. All I remember was crying from laughter with Kyle and I also remember falling flat on my face, because I got excited about old St. Andrew's yearbooks and my foot got caught on Kyle's blanket and it was embarrassing.

R!TGO, however, was a different experience entirely. I had NO idea what this was about, so SURPRISE. Yes, I want to become a nurse, but damn. The gore!! I felt like I was watching Gunther von Hagens dissecting/plastinating people in those videos Mrs. Bergau would make us watch in Anatomy&Physiology in high school. I didn't even think THAT was bad, but put that to music and apparently it freaks me out. Granted, Sweeney Todd kinda did too, but not to the extent as Repo! did.

BUT, no matter the case, watching both movies with Austin, Sarah, Bryan, Kenny, Jacob, Lexi, and Brett made the musicals that much more enjoyable :D Especially because Jacob, Lexi, and Brett came towards the end of The Producers and were super confused :P

I wouldn't trade my friends for anybodyyyyy ♥

Video Killed the Radio Star

This video. I've had to have posted this at least twice by now, but seriously. Because of this video, my life has been changed. The way I speak and react to scary things.. you can thank this video.

This video. Watson made me sit down and watch ALL of these. Quite honestly, I am glad he made me do so, because this has also become a part of my diction to the point that I idolize a man who urinates himself passed the point of normal humans and no, I'm not talking about Watson :P I'm talking about the one, the only, OTACON <3

3 Years Later

I'm sensing irony here or at the very least cosmic/comedic timing.

Life works in funny ways. If all goes well, I shall blog about it, otherwise, I'm not saying anything else lest I want to jinx this.

*edit*

It went swimmingly! I have this awkward tendency when I'm talking one-to-one where I focus on one particular aspect in the room/outside, so when I'm talking, I talk to that object. For instance, today, I talked to the door of Play-n-Trade, because I could see it from within Panera Bread.

Regardless, the movie was exceptional, lived up to its name, and I haven't laughed that hard before a movie even started until today. It also helps when the person you're with has an infectious laugh, which makes you laugh even more :D

I love my friends ♥

That is all <3

I love when two of my friends who would never even know each other start talking on my facebook :D It makes me feel like I'm bridging the gap between my individual worlds, so that all of my friends can be happy together!

It's a silly notion, but that's the honest truth.
