So, I watched The Producers & Repo! The Genetic Opera today :D
The Producers was amazing. I don't think I've ever laughed that much during a musical or even a movie that featured swastikas and Nazis. There was that one time at one of Ashley's Rock Band parties where we watched The Sound of Music by Verot Theatre Kids, but that was only because the Trobiano twins were Nazi soldiers and for some reason it was super hilarious. All I remember was crying from laughter with Kyle and I also remember falling flat on my face, because I got excited about old St. Andrew's yearbooks and my foot got caught on Kyle's blanket and it was embarrassing.
R!TGO, however, was a different experience entirely. I had NO idea what this was about, so SURPRISE. Yes, I want to become a nurse, but damn. The gore!! I felt like I was watching Gunther von Hagens dissecting/plastinating people in those videos Mrs. Bergau would make us watch in Anatomy&Physiology in high school. I didn't even think THAT was bad, but put that to music and apparently it freaks me out. Granted, Sweeney Todd kinda did too, but not to the extent as Repo! did.
BUT, no matter the case, watching both movies with Austin, Sarah, Bryan, Kenny, Jacob, Lexi, and Brett made the musicals that much more enjoyable :D Especially because Jacob, Lexi, and Brett came towards the end of The Producers and were super confused :P
I wouldn't trade my friends for anybodyyyyy ♥
