every single day I spend with Austin, I feel like I get to know him better, which sounds silly, because we've known each other for so long. I want to say we've known each other for at least 5 years now, but all I know is that we make the best of friends and even though our friendship is weird at best, it suits our needs perfectly.
Like the Angles & Airwaves song, we are each other's distraction from the world.
Oh, look, there's the song for you to listen to! :P
But yeah, every time we hang out, it's like all the stresses from everything else, all the negatives that pile up around us in our lives don't mean anything anymore. I love that. It's rare to find company in which you don't feel troubled or angered - not to say, I can't get mad at Austin, because it's happened before, but a majority of the time, we're just chill, happy, and easily amused.
I mean, we played in Toys R Us for a good 2 hours after eating at a Chinese buffet and laughing hysterically over how he's going to live in my house forever and how my parents are going to kick me out, just so he can live there.
We actually talked about serious matters, like how he recently broke up with his girlfriend & he even asked what happened to me and my ex, so not only can we talk about the happy stuff, but we touched on the depressing and bounced back completely.
I wouldn't trade any of my friends, because they all provide me with the distractions I need to keep myself from being consumed by stress and insecurity ♥
I'm definitely happy :D
